I am interested in the psychological differences between men and women and their effect on their performance. So I am going to find out how they behave differently in terms of communication skills and also ways in solving problem in front of conflict. Brain functions which cause their behavior and thinking differences will also be explored. Through this multi genre analysis and research, I hope that it will at least get woman and man realize the big difference between them and cause less misunderstanding and more harmony in their daily life.

I enjoyed talking with you briefly about your topic focus, Mei. I do think you have a good topic and some interesting questions. I'm not sure what you mean by "effect on their performance" -- perhaps their relationship or relating to one another? I think it might be interesting to explore each gender's communication style with same gender v. opposite or different gendered people. Keep in mind that psychological differences and different communication styles may be different things... You mention the John Gray book, but you don't list it as a source -- will this be a reference point for your work -- a starting place? If so, you may want to explore reactions to the book from the counseling or psychology field as well. I look forward to reading more. Let me know if I can be of help! Best, Dr. Young
